Delivery Information

This page explains my Delivery and Returns Policy and provides shortcut links to other pages with important information. Please note, the UK has now left the EU.  For customers in the European Union, this may mean there are now duties to pay upon receipt of your order.  These charges and fees vary between countries so please check what fees are applicable to your country before making a purchase to avoid any unexpected charges. 

Payment

All prices are in Pounds Sterling. I accept all major credit and debit cards through either Worldpay or Paypal. You don't need a Paypal account to order and no credit card details are stored. If you wish to pay by bank transfer, please contact me for further details. Orders will only be dispatched upon receipt of full, cleared payment.

Delivery Times

All wedding accessories and jewellery are made to order and standard non-bespoke items are currently ready for dispatch within 4 to 6 weeks of purchase. I do aim to keep a small selection of popular designs in standard colours in stock so if your chosen accessory is available, it will be dispatched immediately following receipt of payment. However, during the busy summer months, this may not always be possible so please allow up to 6 weeks for your chosen accessory to be made. Details of an approximate lead time and delivery will be confirmed upon receipt of your order but if you have any questions regarding lead time and delivery please do not hesitate to contact me. 

If you are in any way concerned about receiving an item in time, please contact me before placing an order.  I will always do my very best to accommodate an urgent rush order.

UK Shipping

All items are posted using either Royal Mail First Class Signed For or Special Delivery and are insured for the full sale value. For small items valued up to £50 you can choose either First Class Signed for Delivery at £4.00 or Special Delivery for £9.00. Delivery is free for orders over £250.00. All deliveries require a signature upon delivery.

International Delivery

International Delivery is available. For orders up to £150 in value I send via Royal Mail International tracked and signed for delivery which can take between 7 - 21 workings days to arrive depending on destination.  For any orders over £150 I use a priority courier service DHL Express which takes between 4 - 5 working days to arrive depending on location.  Delivery can be as fast as 2 working days depending on the country.  

If your order is under £150 and you would like to upgrade to the priority courier service, please contact me before placing your order so I can get you a quote for delivery. 

I am currently using DHL Express to send my international parcels, all orders are fully insured and trackable end to end. 

  • EUROPE - delivery costs for orders under £150 is £16 / orders over £150 delivery is £40 / orders over £1000 delivery is £60
  • USA & CANADA - delivery costs for orders under £150 is £20 / orders over £150 delivery is £40 / orders over £1000 delivery is £60
  • REST OF WORLD - delivery costs for orders under £150 is £20 / orders over £150 delivery is £40 / orders over £1000 delivery is £60

Please note, that from Jan 2021, the UK has left the EU and customs charges and taxes now apply to any orders to be delivered to Europe.  

Please purchase your chosen piece at least three months before the date you will need your order to arrive.  

Taxes/Duties and Customs Charges for International Deliveries

You may be required to pay customs charges once your parcel arrives at its country of destination. These charges are the responsibility of the customer and have to be paid on delivery of your order. Please contact your local customs office for more information. Duties and Taxes vary between countries; please check what potential charges you may incur prior to ordering to avoid any unexpected costs and delays.  

A useful website for estimating the potential fees due on international deliveries is www.simplyduty.com.  This is a UK website but you can easily check for potential duty/tax costs for any country worldwide using their online calculator.

Packaging

All accessories and jewellery are carefully wrapped in acid-free tissue paper with an anti-tarnish patch, care instructions and are beautifully presented in branded Clare Lloyd boxes and packaged to ensure that they reach their destination in one piece.  All packaging is made from recycled materials including the care instruction card, ribbon, presentation box and outer packaging and parcel tape. 

Returns

I aim to exceed your expectations and for you to love your chosen hair accessories and jewellery. If you are not entirely happy with your order, you can return it within fourteen days of receiving it for a full refund minus the postage costs.  This does not apply to earrings for pierced ears or to bespoke orders. Bespoke orders includes any items designed to your personal specification and also to standard designs where an element has been made personal to you such as a change of colour, materials or alternation to the style.

Refunds for bespoke orders can only be offered in the unlikely event of the piece being faulty. Exchanges can be made at my discretion. This does not affect your statutory rights. Returns must be sent back in a saleable condition, in their original packaging with all labels attached in order to receive a refund. Refunds cannot be given if the item is returned after fourteen days of receipt nor can returns be made after your wedding date has passed. When returning items, please ensure that you retain proof of posting and that you choose a postage method which offers you compensation to cover the value of the item. It is recommended that any parcel is returned using Royal Mail Special Delivery to ensure that the contents are fully insured as Clare Lloyd cannot be help responsible for lost or damaged goods.

If you would like a refund, please email [email protected] within 48 hours of receiving your order. Please do not return items without first contacting me to ensure that you are eligible for a refund.

Sample Sale 

All purchases from the Sample Sale are Final and returns are not accepted for sale items.  If you need any further photos or videos of any items in the sale, please contact me, before your order, and I will send these to you.  If you find that you have ordered something from the sale and it just isn't right, please contact me and I will be happy to exhange for another item either from the sale or regular collections.
